Our campsite in Charente-Maritime offers a wide range of leisure activities and entertainment to complement the island’s services, all of which are close at hand thanks to our ideal location.
Le Maine campsite offers controlled and secure structures for children, and activities adapted for young and old alike, with a common thread of respect for Nature (commitment, promoting respect for others, living together, family gatherings, laughter, well-being, sporting challenges, outdoor games or indoor games in our playrooms and village hall.
To appeal to as many people as possible, we have chosen to offer permanent, fun installations and a varied program with animators:
- Yoga classes for all levels – the first class is offered by the campsite whatever the length of your stay.
- Easy Toons water games.
- Workshops for children organized with animators around biodiversity, scientific experiments and sustainable development.
- Comedy and imitation shows, music for laughter and fun.

- Boulodrome, 2 brand new pétanque courts and competitions…
- Home-Ball a team game in the sand that’s a cross between hand volleyball and soccer.

The area is right next to the petanque courts, so parents or adults can play and enjoy together while keeping an eye on the kids and grandkids!

Easy Toons: water games for the very young!
You can introduce your toddlers to water before a dip in the ocean, and refresh them with temperate water coming out of a zebra, ladybug or play structure.
It’s a refreshing place for parents, children and teenagers to lounge on sunbeds and chilis in the shade of umbrellas or in the sun, to the soothing sound of the water. Water, slides, imagination and lots of laughter.
Have fun in all weathers in our games room
The 30 m² games room means you can have fun even in bad weather, which sometimes happens on La Lumineuse… Enjoy a game of table soccer or table tennis indoors. It’s free, Camping Le Maine lends you everything you need to play!
Meeting place: sofas are provided so that everyone can make this room a living space. Games for the little ones and books are also available. This is also where you’ll find our Boîte à lire, a microlibrary where anyone can borrow or drop off books free of charge.

Fitness and wellness equipment outdoors
Always outdoors! Take advantage of the mild morning and the shade of the poplar trees to stretch, burn a few calories and strengthen your muscles, thanks to our fitness machines. The secret to a gentle workout, or as a complement to a jog or bike ride. Whatever your sporting impulse, it can only be positive for your physical and mental health during your vacation. These machines are available at any time, and they’re free!
We’ve chosen a variety of outdoor structures to work the whole body: “Double Walker”, “Elevator”, “Clock”, “Leg Press” and “Tripod”.
Challenge yourself to a game of home ball at the campsite
The home ball revolutionizes the sport, making it simple and fun to play in a small, safe area, enabling everyone to play and enjoy themselves, whatever their age or physical ability.
Go, go, go! Become a Homeballer, with very simple rules: up to 6 players (3 against 3) have 5 minutes to score as many points as possible in the yellow targets of the opposing camp. But be careful, if you put the ball into red targets, you’ll bring your team’s score back to 0. Access to the pitch and free ball loan on request at the reception desk!

Children’s workshops and family activities at the Charente-Maritime campsite
Fun discovery workshops: experiments and challenges on science, sustainable development and the challenges of preserving nature and the environment.
Workshops to play and develop your senses: treasure hunt, Art Deco workshop, 5 senses discovery…
It’s free, it’s fun and it’s supervised by an animator , and parents and grandparents are welcome to take part!
These workshops are organized at the end of the morning so as not to disrupt your beach or island discovery schedule.
Other outdoor events in the late afternoon, giant games and Archery Game are regularly set up and made available to your children, always under supervision.
Yoga classes for your relaxation
Enjoy a yoga class organized by Marianne outdoors or in the entertainment room, weather permitting. Marianne immerses you in Hatha Yoga for 1 hour to work on your mobility and get rid of stress and anxiety.
